STORE MANAGER Join to apply for the STORE MANAGER role at The Home Depot Canada . Position Purpose Store Managers are accountable for leading profitable operations of their store, executing the three focal points of the company's retail strategy: customer service, in‑stock, and store appearance. They achieve profitability by coaching and developing associates to drive sales through great customer service, resolving people issues, utilizing financial and store reports to identify operational opportunities, monitoring market trends and competition, and executing effective game plans to consistently improve in all areas. Key Responsibilities Communicate and partner with the District Manager and team to drive alignment, establish store direction, and resolve issues; ensure execution of strategy through Playbooks and Priority Communications. Analyze and interpret sales and financial reporting to assess opportunities and determine successes in key departments; review and analyze shrink and safety performance, identify trends and implement game plans. Conduct store walks with Assistant Store Managers and Department Supervisors to assess opportunities and create effective game plans; host store walks with District/Regional team to review effectiveness. Facilitate weekly staff meetings to establish and implement store goals; monitor associate engagement and drive employer‑of‑choice initiatives; inspire associates to connect emotionally with customers and community. Teach, coach and train store management and associates on operational processes, merchandising standards, store appearance and profitability; train leadership teams on safe working environment and operational excellence. Support implementation and monitoring of pilot programs and new store initiatives; evaluate in‑stock levels and resolve out‑of‑stocks; maximize turns through Green/Reduced Tag and Clearance processes. Direct Manager / Direct Reports Reports to District Manager; 4–9 direct reports. Travel, Physical, and Working Conditions Travel: typically overnight, less than 10% of the time. Physical: intermittent periods of continuous exertion, such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting material or equipment. Working Conditions: comfortable indoor area; mild discomfort may occur. Minimum Qualifications Must be at least eighteen years old. Must be legally permitted to work in the United States. Ability to work a flexible, minimum 55‑hour weekly schedule. At least 2–3 years of merchandising and/or operational experience. At least 2–3 years of leadership experience, preferably in big‑box retail. Minimum Education High school diploma and/or GED. Competencies Ability to interpret sales reporting documents. Experience in leveraging sales and profit opportunities through shrink management and safety performance. Pay Range $74,500.00 – $89,800.00.
