About the Role

The Toronto based opportunity to join a leader in global equity investment management requires a long-term commitment and dedication to excellence in the field of global asset management. The successful professional will have 3+ years of capital markets experience with demonstrated success in equity trading and product analysis.

Responsibilities

·       Manage and enhance the firm's investment performance, analytics, and portfolio risk reporting process.

·       Support trade execution for client accounts across global markets .

·       Analyze and report on trade performance at both the firm and broker levels.

·       Develop and manage external broker relationships .

·       Stay current with market trends and regulations and understand how each will affect the organization.

·       Report relevant information on portfolio holdings and portfolio analytics to the Investment Team.

·       Work closely with operations to ensure smooth trade settlement.

·       Contribute to firm-wide projects and initiatives as required.

·       Attend industry conferences and other events to represent the firm and to keep up on trends and best practices .

·       Maintain accurate documentation and ensure relevant firm policies are followed and effectively communicated to clients, consultants, and prospects.  

Qualifications

·       3+ years of industry experience, preferably in a trading/product role.

·       Strong and demonstrated interest in finance, investment management and capital markets.

·       Proficiency in platforms such as Bloomberg, APX, Stat Pro etc.

·        Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail are a must.

·       Experience with programming (VBA, R or Python) is a plus.

·       Willingness to learn and collaborate with all departments of the firm.

·       Post-secondary degree and completion of or working towards a professional finance designation (CFA, CSC, CIM) is a plus.

·        Excellent communication and listening skills to understand business needs and translate those needs into workable solutions.

·       Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment , with time-sensitive deadlines.

 Additional Information

This is a dynamic role with potential to evolve as the firm grows and its needs change.

The successful candidate must be willing to work flexible hours to support global market operations, including trading coverage for Asian and European equity markets .

Work Arrangement: This is an in-office position with some flexibility for hybrid work arrangements.
