Village at Westmount AvenueEdmonton, AB T5M2R2, CAN The Clinical Team Lead (LPN) provides resident-focused nursing care while also offering on-shift leadership and coordination to the interdisciplinary care team. Working in a home-like continuing care environment, the Clinical Team Lead supports quality clinical practice, effective communication, staff development, and compliance with Alberta Health Services (AHS) and organizational standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver resident-focused nursing care within the full scope of practice of a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Promote a home-like environment that respects the individuality, dignity, and rights of residents, families, and coworkers. Practice within applicable legislation, regulations, bylaws, and employer policies. Maintain professional standards of discretion and confidentiality at all times. Provide leadership or direct clinical support in emergency situations as required. Supervise and provide leadership to LPN and Health Care Aide (HCA) staff while on shift. Communicate regularly and effectively with team members regarding: Resident status and changes in condition Daily routines and care priorities Staffing assignments and operational updates Serve as a clinical resource and role model for best practice nursing care. Partner with the Director of Care to support positive employee relations, conflict resolution, and development of action plans as needed. Support tours for prospective residents as required. Work under the direction of the Director of Care to ensure: Completion of required audits Follow-up on audit findings and action item Ensure standards, policies, and procedures are consistently followed. Participate in on-call rotation as required. Perform other related duties as assigned to support resident care and operational needs. Qualifications and Education Requirements Current membership in good standing with CLPNA/CRNA and CPR/BCLS for healthcare providers is required Clear police information check, with the vulnerable sector, dated within the last 6 months Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, teamwork, concern resolution process, and customer service Strong organizational and computer skills, ability to problem solve through critical thinking and self-education, and demonstrated knowledge and commitment to person-centered care Awareness of accident and injury prevention, hazard identification and control; adherence to safe work practices and procedures is essential in this position Other Bona-Fide Occupational Requirements Physically and mentally fit to perform the duties of the position (may be required to lift, move, push, or pull objects weighing up to 75 pounds) Ability to work on his/her feet for a complete shift while constantly bending, stretching, walking, lifting, or moving things Disclaimer This job description indicates representative responsibilities and specifications of the position only and should not be considered to necessarily represent all responsibilities and specifications of the position.
