Tessellate Child and Family Therapy is a private pediatric clinic that is focused on providing a safe place for children and families to access support. Our vision comes from the meaning behind our name. A tessellation is an arrangement of shapes closely fitted together in a pattern without gaps or overlapping. Much like each shape in a tessellation has a place in the picture without being overlapped, we strive to create a space here at Tessellate where each child, parent/caregiver, and family is able to be seen, heard, understood, and never overlooked . We hope to support families in creating this dynamic, both in our office and in their homes.
Our experience enables us to offer effective individualized psychosocial care to each child and family we serve. We treat a number of mental health and behavioural concerns and provide a safe space for children and families to gain a better understanding of themselves. Our services do not require a referral from a physician.
Our focus is to support children and families identify strengths, learn new skills and strategies, and successfully cope through challenging events together. Offering both play therapy and talk therapy as well as parenting support allows us to reach each child and family in a manner fitting to them.

Role Description
Tessellate Child and Family Therapy is looking for a Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist to join our team Our ideal candidate for this position should have experience working and connecting with children, creating safe environments for children and families, and the ability to assess, recommend, and follow through with individualized treatment plans. We are looking for someone with a strong ability to listen to others, make appropriate decisions based on critical thinking, and has excellent communication skills.
Requirements:
- Minimum education level: Master’s Degree
- Member of the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario
Responsibilities:
- Assess nature of clients' situations by interviewing and reviewing personal history
- Complete assessments and draft thorough reports based on those assessments
- Develop and execute individual treatment plans using age appropriate interventions
- Support a caseload of children of various ages
- Determine appropriate milestones to gauge client progress
- Communicate client updates to all relevant parties
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and programs
- Maintain accurate client documentation
- Work collaboratively with team members and community partners
