This Role Includes: Legal Compliance – Monitor and ensure adherence to all relevant legislation and regulations. Contract Management – Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, customer contracts, confidentiality agreements, and employment agreements. External Relationships – Communicate with and manage third-party bodies such as external counsel and auditors. Qualifications: Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD), or equivalent from an accredited institution. Licensed to practice law in Ontario and a member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario. 8-10 years of experience, with at least 4 years in an in-house legal role. Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate law, intellectual property, employment law, regulatory compliance, and data privacy law within the data and technology industries. Excellent communication, negotiation, and drafting skills. Proficiency in legal research tools and databases. Experience in the technology and/or information industry is considered an asset.
