Canada Riva International, Inc. Full time

Riva is seeking a thoughtful and data-driven UX Designer to shape high-impact user experiences grounded in research, experimentation, and measurable outcomes. This role blends user-centered design with business analysis - partnering closely with product, engineering, and go-to-market teams to translate user insights into intuitive, high-converting interfaces. You will lead research-informed design iterations, validate assumptions through structured testing, and apply behavioral and performance data to ensure every experience is intentional, effective, and aligned with both user needs and business goals. What You Will Be Doing Reporting to the Vice President of Product, this role combines product UX design with business analysis, grounded in data-driven iteration and deep user research. Join a team that believes great design is a science, not just an art – where feedback loops, behavior analysis, and structured testing shape every screen. More Specifically, Your Responsibilities Will Include Design and iterate on user interfaces that drive real user engagement and conversion based on behavioral data and usability testing. Conduct early-stage user research, usability tests, and segmented audience feedback loops to inform and refine design decisions. Translate insights from research into wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that solve real user problems. Partner with product managers, analysts, and developers to define and improve user flows, information architecture, and interaction design. Support business analysis activities like gathering requirements, synthesizing findings, mapping user journeys, and documenting design rationale. Run structured, pre-live feedback cycles and low-risk testing on early design iterations to validate assumptions and reduce rework. Apply behavioral psychology, design thinking, and performance metrics to ensure every experience is intentional, effective, and measurable. Collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, sales, and marketing. What You Bring To The Table 3+ years of experience in UX/UI design, ideally for SaaS or high-conversion websites or applications. Experience conducting user research, A/B testing, and iterative prototyping with real audience input. Strong portfolio showcasing data-informed design thinking, not just visual polish. Ability to interpret research and analytics, translate into design hypotheses, and apply test findings to improve UI/UX. Familiarity with tools like Figma and analytics platforms like Hotjar, GA4, LogRocket or New Relic and testing platforms like User Testing. Comfort with ambiguity and strong problem-solving skills—you know how to ask the right questions and explore multiple paths to clarity. Experience with CRO, experimentation frameworks, or content-driven conversion design. CORE COMPETENCIES FOR SUCCESS Integrity & Accountability: Acting with honesty and responsibility, taking ownership of actions and decisions. Navigating organizational dynamics. Collaboration: Inspires and motivates others, embraces diverse perspectives, and works effectively in teams to achieve shared goals. Business Acumen: Understanding key drivers of company success and applying knowledge to achieve goals. Design Thinking: Using creativity, new technologies, and customer-centered approaches to solve complex problems. Analytical Thinking & Decision Making: Inspires and motivates others, embraces diverse perspectives, and works effectively in teams to achieve shared goals.
