Company Description StudySpot has been providing Academic support to adolescent students since 1999. Our goal is to equip students with tools for effective study habits and lifelong academic improvement. We focus on skill development in areas such as organization, time management, reading comprehension, written communication, and study strategies. For students with diagnosed learning disabilities and ADHD, our one-to-one coaching offers personalized educational support. We emphasize a quality coaching relationship to inspire positive academic behavior changes in students. Role Description This is a part-time online role for an Academic Strategist. The Academic Strategist will provide support to post-secondary students who have been diagnosed with weak executive functioning related to a learning challenge or ADHD. Responsibilities will include the introduction and practice executive functioning skills such as organization, time management, and planning. Students will need to be introduced to post-secondary level reading, note-taking, and writing skills and how to adapt to lecture-based learning. Qualifications Learning Strategist or Academic Coaching experience Strong Communication skills Background in Education Empathy and strong mentoring abilities Ability to work independently and in an online environment Experience working with adolescents Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field
