Role Description This is a full-time, on‑site position based in Toronto, ON. The Junior Mechanical and HVAC Engineer will be involved in HVAC system refurbishments and new installations, including boilers, chillers, heat pumps, fan coils, pumps, valves, cooling towers, and make‑up air units. Mechanical project responsibilities also include the refurbishment and installation of systems for domestic hot and cold water, heating and cooling, and drainage. The role involves evaluating existing mechanical systems, performing engineering design and calculations, preparing drawings using AutoCAD, conducting site inspections, and producing technical reports. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or a related field 4–5 years of relevant engineering experience in mechanical and HVAC systems Experience in the maintenance, inspection, refurbishment, and installation of mechanical and HVAC systems Ability to perform basic engineering calculations (heat loss/gain, flow rates, equipment sizing) Proficiency in AutoCAD Understanding of applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, CSA, TSSA, OBC) Experience with site inspections, commissioning support, and report preparation Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines Willingness to learn, develop professionally, and work toward EIT or P.Eng. designation (preferred) Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Full-time Job Function Management and Manufacturing #J-18808-Ljbffr
