The Social Media and Content Specialist will play a crucial role in creating content across all of Best Sleep Media’s channels, helping to achieve business priorities through smart content marketing. This individual is extremely driven, a self-starter, and can create thumb-stopping content for socials and web. This role works closely with the marketing directors and leaders of direct-to-consumer brand partners to grow awareness and consideration across paid and organic channels. What you’ll do Manage content calendar for web and social, with ensuring content is being posted on at least one channel Monday to Friday Develop, capture, create, post, and manage all paid and organic social content across TikTok, Meta (Instagram, Facebook), YouTube (including Shorts), and secondary platforms like Reddit for Best Sleep Society and Top Sleep Picks Create and edit short-form video content that drives engagement, while staying aligned with brand guidelines and strategy Ensure content includes a mix of engagement drivers like storytelling, strong hooks, humor, and trending moments Be in front of the camera and featured on our social media channels and website Develop, copywrite, and upload all website content for Best Sleep Society and Top Sleep Picks, including listicles, reviews, and guides Collaborate with performance counterparts and brand teams to optimize SEO and AI-compatibility for on-site copy on a weekly basis Collaborating cross-functionally to incorporate performance insights into social and web content that will meaningfully drive organic traffic to the site and improve paid performance Strategize, plan, and lead bi-monthly photo/video shoots to improve quality of visual content output Coordinate content expansion into other markets (French Canada, USA, and/or beyond) Who You Are 2+ years of experience in a full-time social media, content creation, or copywriting role Social media savviness - Deep knowledge of social media platforms, with an understanding of how to tailor content for each, as well as paid vs organic content Creative, scrappy, and excited to experiment in a start-up environment Driven by creativity, by grounded in strategy and data – confident in understanding performance analytics and making data-driven decisions, continuously innovating through strong content angles and compelling copy Jack of all creative trades – comfortable in front of the camera, editing videos, and writing copy Value honesty and humility.
