It provides care to over 1 million residents in York Region, Simcoe County, and as far north as Muskoka. The hospital has grown into a university-affiliated teaching and research facility, offering advanced cardiac, cancer, and thoracic care. Position Overview The Security Supervisor supervises activities and job performance of Security Guards across the facility and represents Paladin Security Group and the hospital. Essential Job Functions Provides leadership, coaching, and training Ensures daily activities and orders are carried out Ensures staff adherence to policies and procedures Plans and manages shift schedules Ensures staff receive mandatory training Motivates staff and issues commendations Disciplinary actions and documentation Attendance management Conducts security audits Documents and investigates incidents and complaints Performs security patrols Communicates concerns to the Client Service Manager Requirements At least two years of security experience in a team lead role (asset) Post-secondary education in law enforcement/security Knowledge of Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act Excellent communication skills Punctuality, reliability, tact, diplomacy Ability to travel between hospital sites and conduct interviews, evaluations, reviews Experience with security equipment, incident reports, audits, threat assessments Ability to manage budgets and perform security inspections Prerequisites Proof of education and training at the time of interview Flexible work schedule Minimum 2 years healthcare supervisory experience Post-secondary in Police Foundation Knowledge of software applications Ability to perform under pressure Training in labor relations Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently Knowledge of Perspective System Highlights Extensive industry training Benefits and perks Opportunities for growth and advancement Qualifications Minimum one year experience in concierge security Valid Ontario Security Guard License Proficient in English Vulnerable Sector Check COVID-19 double vaccination Customer service experience Additional Information / Benefits Paladin Security promotes diversity and inclusion, providing accommodations during the hiring process and employment.
