We are looking for a well organized and determined Quality Control Technician who is driven by resolving issues quickly and can roll up their sleeves Reporting to the Quality Supervisor. We are seeking a candidate who can actively contribute to the improvement of our product quality by collaborating with Stakeholders and contributing to achieve excellent customer satisfaction. This position will provide a variety of challenges, the job scope covers many different business sectors and processes.
An overview of your responsibilities:
- Support the Quality Supervisor in the execution of all quality related processes including communication, documentation approval (derogation, inspection sheet), problem solving, receiving, in-line and end of the line inspection, internal audit
- Ensure the execution and follow-up of our Non-Conformity (NCR) process from the opening to the closure of NCR
- Raise Preventive & Corrective action when required, support prioritization / approval cycle, execution and follow-up
- Support and participate to the Engineering Change process from change request to implementation interacting with internal Subject Matter Experts, service providers and consultants
- Support and guide our Quality Inspectors and their day to day
- Collaborate, analyze and interaction with Engineering, Sourcing and Service team
- Support the QMS Coordinator in the elaboration and deployment of processes, forms, work instructions and tools
What you'll need, among other things
- Technical degree in engineering, manufacturing engineering. or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3years of experience in quality control in a technical manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret 3D and 2D drawings
- Demonstrated rigor, minutia and you are detailed oriented
- Experience in HVAC, welding, sheet metal is an asset
- Comfortable with Microsoft 365 environment, ERP and CAD platforms.
- Demonstrated leadership and drive
- Strong collaboration and teamwork
- At ease in a fast-growing environment; tolerance for ambiguity
- Fluent in French and English, Spanish would be an asset
