Act as a key member of the leadership team to support our self‑directed nursing and clinical team members in delivering clinical programs and quality outcomes focused on flexible living and quality of life. Support the clinical and nursing team in HR‑related functions, clinical programs, track and analyze trends, drive quality assurance initiatives, and participate in village‑wide committees and working groups. Support our neighbourhood multidisciplinary teams in understanding residents’ individual needs, provide clinical leadership and guidance, and advocate for residents to participate in decisions about their care. Provide training and education to the clinical team, and manage inventory and supplies. Foster exemplary relationships with residents, families, and the village team to deliver holistic care and specialized clinical services and expertise. Qualifications Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Current Heart Save level of CPR. At least three (3) years of experience leading and directing department(s) in a healthcare setting. Displaying a caring and respectful attitude toward residents, families, and team members. Understanding the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the Assistant Director of Nursing Care role. Preferred but not required Experience working in a long‑term care or retirement home setting. RNAO/RPNAO membership. MDS credentialed (optional, dependent on village size). Awareness and understanding of infection control practices, workplace hazardous materials and chemicals (WHMIS), and other relevant health and safety procedures.
