Software Test Lead

Base pay range $75.00/hr - $90.00/hr Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) About the Initiative The Wealth Initiative is a multi‑year transformation program modernizing the banks operating model, including the transition from legacy platforms to a new target‑state ecosystem. A critical success factor of RISE is a robust, repeatable operating testing model that ensures people, process, data, and technology changes are fully ready for deployment across Wealth Operations. Role Summary The Operating Testing Model Lead will be accountable for designing, implementing, and leading the end‑to‑end operating testing framework for the Wealth Initiative. This role sits at the intersection of business readiness, change management, and technology delivery, ensuring that new operating capabilities are tested holistically before go‑live. The ideal candidate is comfortable challenging stakeholders, driving clarity in ambiguous environments, and setting standards across complex, multi‑workstream programs. Key Responsibilities Define and own the Operating Testing Model , including scope, governance, methodology, tools, and success criteria. Establish standards for end‑to‑end operating testing covering: Business processes Operational roles and controls Data flows and reconciliation Client, advisor, and operations impacts Align operating testing with broader program milestones (SIT, UAT, Dress Rehearsals, Go‑Live Readiness). Execution & Delivery Leadership Lead the planning and execution of operating testing cycles across Wealth workstreams. Partner closely with Technology, Business Leads, Change Management, and BPO partners to coordinate test execution. Ensure defects, gaps, and readiness risks are clearly documented, prioritized, and remediated. Drive accountability for test outcomes and readiness sign‑off. Stakeholder & Governance Management Act as a senior point of contact for Wealth Operations stakeholders on operating testing matters. Challenge assumptions and push back where readiness standards are not being met. Prepare and present concise updates to SteerCo, Program Leadership, and Executive stakeholders. Establish clear entry/exit criteria and decision frameworks for go‑live readiness. Integration with Change & Readiness Work in close partnership with Change Management to ensure testing validates: Role clarity and training effectiveness Adoption and transition readiness Support cutover and hypercare planning from an operational readiness perspective. Required Qualifications 8+ years of experience in Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or large‑scale banking transformation programs. Demonstrated experience designing or leading operating testing, business readiness, or operational acceptance testing (OAT) models. Strong understanding of Wealth Operations, including front‑, middle‑, and back‑office processes. Experience working with complex vendor platforms and operating model transitions. Proven ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Experience with large Wealth platform migrations (e.g., FNZ, Broadridge, or similar ecosystems). Prior experience working with BPO or managed service operating models. Familiarity with regulatory and risk considerations impacting Wealth Operations. Background in Change Management, Business Readiness, or Target Operating Model implementation.
