General Psychiatrist (outpatient clinic - 1 day per month) The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) is seeking a team-oriented General Psychiatrist to provide itinerant outpatient clinic service in Rosthern, SK one day per month (2 sessions per day, 4 hours per session). The Psychiatrist will be part of the local multidisciplinary team that includes a nurse, social worker and addiction counsellor and will provide leadership for the team in a collegial manner as well as work with external bodies as required. No afterhours call is required. The successful incumbent will be remunerated per the SHA provincial psychiatry sessional contract grid (consultant level). Placement on the 7-step grid (range of $851.73 to $ per session) will be determined by experience or per current step if already on a psychiatry contract with the SHA. Mileage for travel to Rosthern will be reimbursed at the SAHO out-of-scope mileage rate (currently $0.5555/km as of Oct. 1, 2025). Interested candidates should submit their curriculum vitae in confidence to Job Qualifications Certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or eligible for certification Licensure with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan Coverage with the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) Specialized clinical experience in general psychiatry Knowledge of Saskatchewan provincial laws and regulations governing forensic psychiatry and the commitment and release of the mentally ill under The Mental Health Services Act Valid drivers license Minimum of 3 acceptable references Acceptable criminal record check with vulnerable sector search Legal entitlement to work in Canada Additional Information Saskatchewan Health Authority supports a shared commitment to a Representative Workforce that is respectful and inclusive of all staff and clients and welcomes applications from those who will contribute to the diversity of our community.
