About The Opportunity Our client, a federated professional association, is adding to their dynamic communications team. This position plays a critical role in the execution of the organization’s communications activities with members, stakeholders and the general public. With a focus on digital communications, event logistics and project support, this role offers variety and an outstanding learning opportunity for an early-career communications professional. Some of the duties include but are not limited to: Conduct media monitoring activities Contribute to the content and preparation of member communications and quarterly newsletter Update the organization’s intranet, with responsibility for maintaining certain content areas Provide event support for meetings and conferences, including accommodation, registration and general logistical support Support the management of translation requests Provide general support to the Director of Communications, the Digital Communications Officer, and at times the Executive Assistant as required About You Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or a related field Experience derived from work, co‑op placement, internships or post-secondary academic involvement Strong writing skills in English Proficiency with the MS Office suite of software Exposure to communications tools such as WordPress, Campaigner, Adobe, Canva, Google Analytics, SharePoint Strong interpersonal skills Strong organizational skills with attention to detail About the Job This position is a full-time/permanent position starting immediately, offering a salary of $50K with a comprehensive benefits plan. The client offers a hybrid work environment that would see you in office four days per week, conveniently located right downtown.
