OMVIC currently has a vacancy for an Education Administrator for our Toronto corporate office. Who is OMVIC: OMVIC (Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council) is Ontario’s vehicle sales regulator. OMVIC enforces the Motor Vehicle Dealers Act and other consumer protection statutes for the Ministry of Public and Business Service Delivery and Procurement. OMVIC’s mandate and role is to maintain a fair and informed marketplace by protecting the rights of consumers, enhancing industry professionalism, and ensuring fair, honest, and open competition for registered motor vehicle dealers. This is achieved by maintaining strict dealer/salesperson registration requirements; inspecting all Ontario dealers (new and used); providing free complaint handling to consumers; developing/delivering consumer and dealer education/awareness programs; and investigating and prosecuting industry non‑compliance and illegal sales (curbsiding). Position Information: Reporting to: Manager, Education Salary Range : $50,000 – $65,000 annually Work Model: Hybrid – requirement of 2 days per week/8 days per month in office. All duties carried out remotely must be completed from the employee’s approved home office within Ontario. Position Summary: The Education Administrator provides administrative and operational support for educational initiatives aimed at registrants and stakeholders. This role ensures smooth functioning of the Learning Management System (LMS), assists learners, and supports the coordination of continuing professional development (CPD) activities in alignment with the organization’s mandate. Responsibilities: Coordinates scheduling and administrative tasks for educational programs, webinars, and workshops. Provide logistical support for webinars and events, including registration and enrollment confirmations. Support day‑to‑day operations of the Learning Management System (LMS). Provide basic (Tier 1) technical assistance to learners and escalates issues as needed. Maintain accurate learner records and assist with simple reporting tasks. Respond to routine inquiries from registrants about webinars and CPD programs. Monitor the Education inbox and route inquiries to appropriate staff when necessary. Assist with webinar setup (e.g., Zoom) and registration processes. Perform other duties as required. Qualifications: College diploma preferred or equivalent experience in administration, education support, or a related field. 1–2 years of experience in an administrative or coordination role (experience in education or professional development is an asset). Familiarity with Learning Management Systems or willingness to learn. Strong organizational and communication skills. Basic proficiency with digital tools and webinar platforms (e.g., Teams). Knowledge of Ontario’s regulatory environment is an asset but not required. Occasional travel within Ontario may be required.
