Job Description As a Business Development Manager‑Partnerships, you will sell sports podcast sponsorships and integrated social media advertising packages to brands across the GTA (to start). This is a hunter‑focused, new business role where you will build a pipeline from scratch, pitch partnership packages, negotiate, and close net‑new sponsors. You will work from home, with local in‑person meetings as needed, and report directly to CEO. The base salary for this position is $65,000 – $80,000 plus commission. Compensation & Benefits Base Salary: $65,000 – $80,000 + commission OTE Year 1: $100,000 – $150,000 OTE Year 2: $115,000 – $165,000 Top Performer Potential: ~$200,000 Uncapped commission (paid monthly) Company & Culture Our client is a Canadian sports media company that has been in business for 8 years, producing high‑engagement sports content across podcasts and social platforms. Their network includes recognized sports media personalities and former professional athletes, producing content spanning the NHL, NFL, NBA, MLB, and beyond—from breaking news and viral highlights to in‑depth podcasts and live event coverage. Office Location and Sales Territory Head Office: Quebec Work Environment: 100% Work From Home Territory: GTA to start (opportunity to expand territory based on performance) Travel: Local client meetings as needed Schedule: Monday–Friday, ~35 hours/week Experience, Background & Education Requirements Must have 3–5 years of B2B sales experience (new logo / hunter focus) in relevant industry experience (advertising, sponsorships, media sales, sports/entertainment partnerships, digital media, broadcasting, etc.) Must be a genuine sports fan (essential for credibility in the market) The Product/Service/Solution Sports podcast sponsorships + integrated social media packages Typical annual deals: $60K–$200K/year Typical sales cycle: 1–4 weeks Common buyer profiles: Marketing/Brand leaders, Partnerships teams, Directors/VPs, Owners/C‑suite Leads 75% self‑generated through outbound prospecting and networking 25% list supplied 0% warm leads supplied — this is a true hunter role Technical Skills Excel - Basic PowerPoint: Intermediate (proposals, decks, partnership presentations) MS Word - Basic CRM (Salesforce or equivalent) – Preferred Support & Training Remote onboarding with job shadowing/joint calls and leadership support Sales training: 1–2 weeks (ad‑hoc + supported ramp) Product training: ~1 week or less Expected ramp to active selling: 1–2 weeks Why You Should Apply High‑upside hunter role in a growing sports media business Fully remote with flexibility and a performance‑driven environment Opportunity to help shape sponsorship packages and the partnerships sales function Strong runway for growth in responsibility/territory as the business scales #J-18808-Ljbffr
