Job Description Senior Technical Analyst will be part of the L2 team, supporting multiple critical enterprise-wide security applications. In this role, you will provide in-depth technical expertise, configuration, consulting, and advisory on applications within RBC’s Global Security environment. The Senior Technical analyst will provide 24/7 shift work on a rotational basis. What will you do? You will be part of the L2 support team providing server support on Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms. Proactively maintain supported server-based systems to ensure maximum availability, including monitoring various alerting tools. Resolve ServiceNow incidents in Production environments in collaboration with various service providers and vendors within SLA. Work closely with peers and business partners to understand endpoint security requirements and 3rd party application capabilities for on-premise, cloud, and container solutions. Establish strong working relationships across business units and platforms to build influence and impact with key business partners. Continuously identify potential issues, conflicts, and risks; analyze, mitigate and elevate where appropriate. Follow change/incident management procedures. Provide after-hours support on a rotational on-call basis. What do you need to succeed? Must have: Strong knowledge and ability to support encryption technologies across Windows, Linux, and Unix platforms. 4+ years experience working in server technology support. 4+ years experience supporting Windows, Linux, and Unix OS platforms. Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to assess issues within multiple technologies. Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work closely with peers and business partners, and technical documentation writing skills. Capability to manage multiple priorities across several assignments while prioritizing effectively. Knowledge of automation platforms (Ansible) and ability to build new automation with these platforms. Nice-to-have: Certification in information security (e.g., CISSP, CCSP, CEH, ITIL). Strong knowledge / past experience with encryption technologies (CipherTrust, Guardium). Experience in building and maintaining automation pipelines involving multiple technologies.
