Who We Are: The Ottawa Ukrainian Children’s Choir is a dynamic, community-based non-profit organization focused on promoting Ukrainian culture in Canada through music. Our choir offers children a joyful, creative space to explore music and grow as individuals, while performing a wide range of repertoire – from Ukrainian choral classics to pop and show-style music. We are a welcoming and inclusive group that values each child’s potential and strives to create an environment of support, encouragement, and cultural pride. We’re Expanding Our Team We are currently inviting applications for the following part-time contract positions based in Ottawa: Music Director – To lead the choir artistically, plan repertoire, and conduct rehearsals and performances Accompanist – To provide piano accompaniment for rehearsals and concerts Vocal Coach – To help children develop vocal technique in an age-appropriate, engaging way Piano Coach – To guide and support children in developing basic piano skills What We’re Looking For: Experience working with children in a musical setting Strong skills in conducting, piano accompaniment, vocal or piano instruction (depending on the role) A collaborative and positive approach to teaching Familiarity with Ukrainian music and culture is an asset Ukrainian language skills are helpful but not required What We Offer: A welcoming and enthusiastic community of children, families, and volunteers Opportunities for artistic input and collaboration Competitive honorariums based on experience and responsibilities Flexibility in designing your role as part of a larger team To apply, please send your resume and a brief cover letter indicating which position(s) you’re interested in to by August, 25th, 2025.
