TEAM LEAD, DATA ANALYTICS COE

Reports to: Manager, Data Platforms

OVERVIEW

  • The Team Lead, Data Analytics COE is responsible for establishing a center of excellence for Reporting, Business Insight and Data Visualization that supports all of the company's divisions.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The primary goal of the Team Lead is to enable our client’s Divisions in driving effective reporting and insight that supports sound and timely decision making.

DELIVERABLES

  • Drive the development and adoption of metrics frameworks
  • Develop, implement data analytics methodologies, techniques, and best practices to optimize data analysis processes and drive efficiency and effectiveness of data analytics across JDI
  • Maintain and promote appropriate standards in the use and deployment of analytics tools.
  • Ensure the stability and performance of Analytics Applications and solutions
  • Provide strategic perspectives and develop necessary frameworks for key areas (marketing effectiveness, attribution, governance, testing & optimization, Direct the development of test methodologies based on analytic requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and data engineering, to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights.
  • Leadership
  • Lead and manage a team of data analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, assisting them in solving complex data analytics problems and optimizing their analytical skills.
  • Lead a community of practice in Data Analytics
  • Coordinate the workload, initiatives and projects of the team and ensure our commitments to our customers are delivered
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in data analytics to drive innovation within the team.
  • Assess the effectiveness of delivery processes and drive continuous improvement where appropriate
  • Participate in the Business Intelligence on call rotation

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • University degree, college diploma or relevant experience
  • 5+ years experience in complex IT environments
  • 5+ years experience delivering data analytics products and solutions
  • Experience leading and coaching diverse teams

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • End-to-end understanding of Reporting and Data Warehouse solutions and implementations
  • Familiar with common database systems and structures
  • Knowledge and experience in many of the following applications – MS Synapse, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Cognos BI, Planning Analytics, SQL, Wherescape RED
