People & Culture Business Partner - Term Position Position Overview: Lambert Nemec Group is supporting an organization in the recruitment of a People & Culture Business Partner (1 Year Term). This role is ideal for an HR professional with strong labour relations experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment. The successful candidate will provide advisory support across the HR function while taking the lead on labour relations, investigations, and employee experience initiatives. Key Responsibilities Guide leaders on a wide range of employee and labour relations matters, ensuring decisions align with employment legislation and collective agreements. Manage grievance processes, support contract interpretation, and provide recommendations on workplace issues. Conduct detailed and impartial investigations related to policy concerns, complaints, and sensitive employee situations. Develop and deliver training and learning sessions for employees and leaders through both in-person and digital formats. Support employee engagement and culture programs, including recognition initiatives and milestone celebrations. Collaborate with HR team members to ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and best practices. Contribute to ongoing HR projects that support organizational growth and process improvement. Requirements Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada and reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Minimum of 5 years of HR experience with a strong foundation in labour relations and unionized workplace dynamics. CPHR designation or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred. Demonstrated experience leading investigations, managing grievances, and supporting bargaining or arbitration processes. Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and navigate situations with limited structure. Solid understanding of employment legislation and HR standards.
