Electrical & Controls Engineer (OSHA and UL) Electrical Engineer responsible for designing, developing, and supporting electrical and control systems for automated packaging machinery. Requires strong knowledge of OSHA and UL standards, including UL508A. Hands‑on work in electrical panel design, PLC/HMI programming, and compliance. Travel required for customer installations, commissioning, and troubleshooting. Responsibilities Design and develop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panels. Specify and integrate PLCs, HMIs, motion drives, and sensors. Apply OSHA and UL standards (UL508A) and meet NEMA, CSA, and other industry requirements. Support equipment build, wiring, and on‑site startup. Conduct testing, verification, and operator training. Maintain wiring schematics, BOMs, and software files. Manage project schedules, deliverables, and vendor coordination. Provide troubleshooting support to manufacturing, service, and customers. Recommend and implement design improvements for reliability and efficiency. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Proficiency in electrical circuit design, CAD tools, and load analysis. Hands‑on experience with PLC and HMI programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or similar). Familiarity with OSHA regulations and UL standards, including UL508A. Ability to travel for installation, commissioning, and customer support.
