The Opportunity A vertically integrated real estate development and operating platform is seeking a Senior Vice President of Finance to join its leadership team. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the CFO, with responsibility for overseeing the entire accounting function and partnering closely with executive leadership on financial strategy, reporting, and capital management. This position is highly visible, execution-focused, and offers a clear path to evolve into a CFO role over time. Key Responsibilities Report directly to the CFO and oversee the full accounting department Manage and develop the Corporate Controller and Financial Analyst Ensure timely and accurate month-end close across all entities Review and analyze monthly apartment operating statements Ensure operating proformas for each operating entity are updated at least quarterly Oversee consolidated roll-ups of all entities, including P&L and cash flow reporting Prepare materials for quarterly management meetings Prepare and oversee quarterly Board reporting and Board books Oversee all property appraisals Oversee loan draws and capital tracking Serve as the primary point of contact for lenders Prepare ad hoc proformas and cash flow analyses to support investment and operating decisions What We’re Looking For Senior finance leader with a real estate development and operating background Highly detail-oriented, driven, and execution-focused Proven experience managing accounting teams and complex entity structures Strong understanding of property-level operations, proformas, and cash flow modeling Experience working directly with lenders, appraisers, and boards Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment Why This Role Newly created leadership position with meaningful ownership Direct partnership with CFO and executive leadership Ability to shape financial processes and reporting as the platform scales Long-term upside with a defined CFO succession runway Seniority level Director Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing and Finance Industries Real Estate and Accounting #J-18808-Ljbffr
