Visit our careers page to see what exciting opportunities and company perks await Job Description Join Microchip’s FPGA software engineering team to develop and optimize EDA tools that power the entire FPGA design flow—from design entry to synthesis, place‑and‑route, timing, power analysis, and simulation. As an EDA Software Engineer, you’ll work in an agile environment, collaborating with experts to enhance the performance and quality of our FPGA design tools. Minimum Qualifications BS, MS, or PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science. 0–2 years of software engineering experience. Proficient in C/C++ with strong programming, algorithm, and data structure skills. Must know Verilog/System Verilog/VHDL. Must be capable of writing test cases and test benches. Excellent problem‑solving, debugging, communication, and teamwork abilities. Preferred Qualifications Experience with EDA tools (e.g., logic synthesis, formal verification). Strong digital design knowledge and FPGA experience. Familiarity with Git and scripting languages (Perl, Python, Bash, Tcl). Experience with large‑scale software development on Linux and Windows.
