As well as support with any other maintenance activities as directed by the maintenance supervisor. Day Shift This role is permanent full-time with a standard 37.5 hour work week and eligibility for overtime. Key Responsibilities Assist in performing scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on production equipment, including wiring, conduit, lighting, and power distribution. Learn and apply electrical codes and regulations (to ensure safe and compliant work practices). Under supervision, assist in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues on various equipment, including motors, sensors, and control systems. Learn to identify root causes of problems and implement effective solutions. Fulfil all areas delineated in the Apprenticeship Curriculum Standard provided by Skilled Trades Ontario. Demonstrate and receive sign-off on competencies/skills in your Apprenticeship Training Standard Logbook Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and equipment status Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including but not limited to Lockout/Tagout, confined space entry, hot work permit and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements Qualifications Enrolled in or planning to enroll in an Industrial Electrician apprenticeship program 1 year experience in maintenance or in an Industrial Electrician program Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to build relationships and work with people Strong computer skills including MS Excel, Word, etc. Training in business, inventory and purchasing Knowledge in using CMMS and LOTO Production equipment principles Working Conditions Ability to work in a team, and/or under minimal supervision.
