Optimal Air is seeking an experienced Electrician for commercial & industrial work.

The candidate will be responsible for completing service calls and project work. We complete design-build & bid spec projects in commercial & industrial applications such as warehouses, offices, restaurants, medical buildings, long term care homes, retail, etc.

Duties

  • Complete electrical installation, renovation, and repair projects from start to finish in commercial & industrial applications such as retail, daycares, restaurants, offices, medical buildings, etc.
  • Complete electrical service calls in the above noted settings to restore electrical power to devices, buildings, spaces, etc.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Run conduit, wire, pvc, install devices and fixtures
  • Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various tasks related to electrical work.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical systems
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the electrical code, regulations.
  • Complete work in a safe manor
  • Guide and train apprentices on best practices
  • Work in collaboration / coordination with other trades to complete project scope
  • Completing work orders & timesheets electronically.

Skills

  • Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding schematics related to electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial electrician practices and commercial wiring techniques.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment used in electrical work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a logical approach to troubleshooting electrical issues.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 309A journeyman or 4th or 5th year apprentice
  • Clean drivers abstract with G driver license
  • Working at heights
  • Elevated work platform training

This job may be offered as a contract or full time position.
