This roadmap will support the organization’s long-term strategic goals, cost-effectiveness, and overall value. Additionally, it will inform future decisions regarding communication platforms, covering various modalities such as voice, video, messaging, information sharing, and collaboration functions.


Responsibilities


  • Develop the long-term organizational vision, principles and priorities for communications that will establish the foundation for strategy and roadmap development.
  • Develop a current state inventory of technology-supported scenarios, practices, guidelines, and platforms.
  • Define clinical and business communications priorities, objectives, and approach.
  • Develop a high-level roadmap to inform and enable development of a future state architecture, platforms, and toolsets.


Requirements:


  • 6+ years of experience as a Strategic Planner.
  • Demonstrated successful development and delivery of healthcare strategies that support operational and care service delivery – experience specifically within British Columbia's healthcare system is an asset.
  • Demonstrated capability facilitating and managing strategic consultation processes with a wide range of stakeholder groups, including Senior Management teams and Executives across different organizations.
  • Demonstrated prior experience developing communication strategies and roadmaps is an asset.
  • Excellent project management, analytical, and people skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated capability in communicating technical information at a non-technical level.
  • Demonstrated capability in handling sensitive and challenging situations.
  • Must be able to work independently to solve problems.
  • A level of education, training and experience equivalent to a degree in Project Management, Health Administration, Business Administration, Information Management or a related discipline.
