Supervised Family Visitation Workers

Overview Brightisle is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Supervised Family Visitation Workers. Brightisle is a leading provider of health and community care services in Newfoundland and Labrador with over 25 years of operating experience and employing over 1000 individuals in direct health and community care-related services. Help families stay connected and ensure the well-being and safety of children and youth. Responsibilities Supervised Family Visitation Workers provide safe, structured visitation for children and youth in foster care and monitor conditions and behaviors during visits. Complete detailed reports that support decisions on family reunification, including observation, safety assessment, and writing of reports. Maintain knowledge of child development, family dynamics, and social services; demonstrate strong interpersonal and written communication skills; maintain confidentiality of all client information. Flexibility to work short shifts with a mix of days, evenings, and weekends (minimum of 3 hours; no overnights or 24-hour shifts). Travel with children for visits will be arranged by taxi and covered by the program; on-call support during visitation times; training provided. Qualifications Experience in a related field working with children and youth. Record of Conduct and Vulnerable Sector Check. First Aid Certificate and a Medical Certificate indicating good health (negative TB test, up-to-date immunization record). Strong interpersonal and written communication skills; good decision-making skills; objectivity; and ability to maintain confidentiality. Compensation and Status Salary is $19.45 per hour as per the collective agreement. This is a unionized position with NL Association of Public and Private Employees (NAPE). #J-18808-Ljbffr
