Position Overview:

Artin Properties is seeking a licensed and experienced Managing Broker to lead our real estate brokerage division, Artin Realty. This role requires an active Managing Broker license with authority in Rental, Strata, and Trading Services in British Columbia.

We're looking for a strategic, tech-savvy, and self-driven leader—someone who takes initiative, brings clarity to operations, and builds systems that support long-term success. The ideal candidate understands Artin Realty's vision and is capable of translating that into clear workflows, policies, and growth strategies.

You will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with BCFSA regulations, mentoring a team of licensed professionals, upholding ethical standards, and supporting the continued expansion of our boutique and innovative real estate company.

This role requires someone who can bring a forward-thinking approach to brokerage management—leveraging tools and platforms to ensure organization, transparency, and operational excellence.

As Managing Broker, you'll play a central role in shaping the direction of Artin Realty—from building compliance frameworks and mentoring the team to optimizing systems and helping redefine what a modern, service-driven brokerage can look like.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Governance

Ensure brokerage operations meet all regulatory requirements under RESA, BCFSA, GVREB, and other applicable bodies

Act as the primary liaison with BCFSA, managing audits, investigations, and compliance communications

Establish, document, and enforce brokerage policies and procedures in line with BCFSA and FINTRAC

Stay informed on legal and regulatory updates impacting rental, strata, and trading services

Review and approve transaction documentation for accuracy and compliance

Supervision & Oversight

Supervise the Artin Realty Division, ensuring adherence to company standards and professional ethics

Conduct regular audits of active files, property management agreements, and contracts

Support licensees in meeting professional development requirements (PDP)

Maintain effective record-keeping systems and oversee trust account management

Approve listings, rental documents, and strata documentation

Training & Development

Mentor and coach licensees to uphold high performance and ethical standards

Deliver regular training on compliance, risk management, and best practices

Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional accountability

Risk Management & Complaint Resolution

Handle client, regulatory, or internal complaints in a timely and fair manner

Identify and mitigate risks related to transactions, property management, and trust handling

Ensure full compliance with AML/FINTRAC regulations, including serving as the Compliance and Privacy Officer

Maintain up-to-date trust account and transaction records in preparation for audits and reporting

Brokerage Leadership & Strategy

Lead Artin Realty with a clear vision aligned to Artin Properties' brand and values

Contribute to strategic planning and policy development

Ensure adequate E&O insurance coverage and internal safeguards

Participate in business decisions related to growth and service delivery

Qualifications & Requirements

Valid Managing Broker license in British Columbia (Rental, Strata, and Trading Services)

In good standing with the Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board

5+ years of experience in real estate brokerage and/or property management

Deep knowledge of BC real estate legislation, contracts, and compliance requirements

Strong leadership skills and ability to mentor, coach, and supervise a diverse team

Excellent judgment, communication, and decision-making skills

Experience in risk and financial management

Proficiency and comfort using new technologies (Notion; ERP Systems; Property Management Systems; Slack)
