A Bachelor’s or Higher Degree is the minimum entry required for the position This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy and We are looking to hire Stress Engineer immediately who has experience in stress engineering in aerospace / aircraft Industry. Role Overview: Perform structural analysis using classical hand analysis methods and finite element analysis on metallic and non-metallic structure Support design process from preliminary/conceptual design through critical/detail design Write structural substantiation reports that meet technical requirements for the program and certifying authority (FAA/EASA/MIL cert) Assess primary structure, secondary structure, and flight test installations from a static strength perspective Perform fatigue and damage tolerance assessments based on customer’s mission profile requirements Responsible for justification of the damages and repair solutions from Static, Fatigue and damage tolerance point of view Fatigue & Damage Tolerance (F&DT) evaluation and detailed analysis of fatigue damages such as corrosion, dents, bulges, gouges, chafe, score, cracks, fastener replacement, hole elongation, lightning strike, bird strike, blend out and doubler repair (in service and existing structural repairs). Experience in defining inspection tasks and maintenance intervals (Threshold and Repeat Inspection Intervals) Perform detailed finite element modelling (DFEM) and linear static analysis of metallic structures to simulate mechanical behavior and check the structural integrity Qualifications: Have a Bachelor of Science degree or above in Engineering from an accredited University. Have a minimum of 10 years engineering experience in stress analysis. Have proficiency in classical stress (static) analysis methods and FEM based analysis tools (i.e. MSC Patran/Nastran, Altair Hypermesh); Have proficiency in Fatigue and Damage Tolerance (F&DT) analysis methods and tools (i.e. Nasgro); Have proficiency with all Microsoft Office software applications. Have proficiency with CATIA V5. Have an understanding of aircraft certification rules and experience in certification procedures. Have excellent communication and listening skills, and the ability to interface constructively and effectively in a cross functional team environment. Must be able to work independently and efficiently multitask. Have a good understanding of aircraft structural load path and have experience with analysis methodologies for various primary and secondary structural components. The pay range for this role is $100,000 - $120,000*per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
