Overview We are seeking a System Stress Integrity Engineer to lead the development of methodologies and analytical standards used to assess the structural integrity of aircraft systems installation. This role is part of the Airframe Structural Integrity department and will establish the processes that govern how system stress analysis is performed across the program. You will also support trade studies, participate in early configuration decisions, and contribute to rapid design–stress convergence. This is not a routine handbook-driven position. You will shape how system stress analysis is executed on the program, define the workflows, and develop fast-iteration tools that allow the team to evaluate system installations quickly and consistently. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the system stress analysis methodology , including assumptions, load paths, sizing rules, verification criteria, and documentation. Support trade studies involving system architecture, system installation strategies, equipment placement, interface loads, and attachment concepts. Create and maintain internal workflows for evaluating brackets, supports, systems routing, equipment installations, and localized structure. Develop and enhance automation and analysis tools to support rapid early-phase system stress assessment, using Python, MATLAB, VBA or other programming languages. Contribute to preliminary design loops by providing quick-turn evaluations of system integration impacts on local structure and load paths. Collaborate closely with the design group, loads group, safety, and system engineering to ensure system structural considerations are captured early and consistently. Ensure methods are traceable, standardized, and aligned with the broader Airframe Structural Integrity processes. Provide guidance and support to stress engineers working on system-level components or interfaces. Required Qualifications Strong background in aerospace system stress analysis , including bracketry, systems supports, equipment attachments, and local structural reinforcement. Experience developing engineering methods , analysis standards, and documented workflows. Proven experience in tool development and scripting (Python, MATLAB, VBA or equivalent). Experience supporting trade studies , architecture evaluations, and early-phase configuration decisions. Solid understanding of metallic structural behavior, fastener load paths, joint analysis, local stiffness effects, and load introduction. Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams and ensure consistent treatment of system structural integrity. Comfort working in a startup environment where processes and methods are actively being created. Nice to Have Experience with systems integration on new aircraft programs. Familiarity with routing constraints, equipment packaging, and installation loads. Experience contributing to clean-sheet development or advanced concept studies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
