JOB SUMMARY

The manager of Architecture and Design is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the design and architecture of software and technology solutions within an organization. This role involves strategic planning, design, implementation, and management of architectural frameworks and technology platforms to support the organization's objectives. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, defining technical architecture, and guiding the development teams to implement solutions that align with the organization's goals.


RESPONSIBILITIES

· Lead the architecture and design of software and technology solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and objectives

· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications and architectural designs

· Define and communicate architectural guidelines, best practices, and standards to development teams

· Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring solutions are implemented according to design and architectural principles

· Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and trends that can improve the organization's technology landscape

· Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and performant, meeting the organization's current and future needs

· Collaborate with other departments, such as IT operations and security, to ensure solutions meet their requirements

· Mentor and develop team members, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning

· Manage relationships with external vendors and partners, ensuring deliverables are met and solutions are implemented according to specifications

· Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and standards related to architecture and design


REQUIREMENTS

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field; Master's degree preferred

· 8+ years of experience in software architecture and design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

· Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices

· Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

· Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python

· Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions

· Experience with agile development methodologies

· Certifications such as TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert are a plus

· Bilingualism is required because this role requires daily communication outside of Quebec

RÉSUMÉ DU POSTE

Le Gestionnaire de l'architecture et de la conception a pour mission de superviser la conception et l'architecture des solutions logicielles et technologiques au sein d'une organisation. Ce rôle implique la planification stratégique, la conception, la mise en œuvre et la gestion de cadres architecturaux et de plateformes technologiques pour soutenir les objectifs de l'organisation. Vous collaborerez avec les parties prenantes pour comprendre les besoins, définir l'architecture technique et guider les équipes de développement pour mettre en œuvre des solutions conformes aux objectifs de l'organisation.

RESPONSABILITÉS

· Diriger l'architecture et la conception de solutions logicielles et technologiques, en veillant à l'alignement sur les buts et objectifs de l'entreprise.

· collaborer avec les parties prenantes pour comprendre les besoins et les traduire en spécifications techniques et en conceptions architecturales

· définir et communiquer aux équipes de développement les lignes directrices, les meilleures pratiques et les normes en matière d'architecture

· fournir une direction technique et des conseils aux équipes de développement, en veillant à ce que les solutions soient mises en œuvre conformément aux principes de conception et d'architecture

· Évaluer et recommander les technologies et tendances émergentes susceptibles d'améliorer le paysage technologique de l'organisation.

· S'assurer que les solutions sont évolutives, sécurisées et performantes, et qu'elles répondent aux besoins actuels et futurs de l'organisation.

· Collaborer avec d'autres départements, tels que les opérations informatiques et la sécurité, afin de s'assurer que les solutions répondent à leurs besoins.

· Encadrer et développer les membres de l'équipe, en favorisant une culture de l'innovation et de l'apprentissage continu.

· gérer les relations avec les fournisseurs et les partenaires externes, en veillant à ce que les livrables soient respectés et que les solutions soient mises en œuvre conformément aux specifications

· se tenir au courant des tendances, des meilleures pratiques et des normes du secteur en matière d'architecture et de conception

EXIGENCES

· BAC en informatique, en technologie de l'information ou dans un domaine connexe

· Plus de 8 ans d'expérience dans l'architecture et la conception de logiciels, dont au moins 3 ans dans un rôle de direction.

· Solide connaissance des principes de l'architecture logicielle, des modèles de conception et des meilleures pratiques.

· Expérience des plateformes d'informatique en nuage, telles que AWS, Azure ou Google Cloud.

· Maîtrise des langages de programmation tels que Java, C# ou Python.

· Excellentes compétences en communication, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit, avec la capacité de communiquer des concepts techniques complexes à des publics non techniques.

· Solides compétences en matière d'analyse et de résolution de problèmes, avec la capacité de penser stratégiquement et de prendre des décisions judicieuses.

· Expérience des méthodologies de développement agile

· Des certifications telles que TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect ou Microsoft Certified : Azure Solutions Architect Expert sont un plus

· Le bilinguisme est requis car ce rôle exige des communications quotidiennes à l'extérieur du Québec.
