Senior Procurement Specialist – Doane Grant Thornton LLP Who We Are Doane Grant Thornton is a large professional services firm that values community, client service, and colleague care. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain relationships with business units to drive policy adoption. Partner with subject matter experts to draft and organize RFx documentation. Negotiate and finalize contracts across various categories, working with legal representatives to ensure flexible and protective agreements. Provide guidance and training to departmental teams, sharing information as policies and procedures are updated. Develop productive and proactive relationships with vendors. Maintain contracts database, keeping information up to date and accurate. Apply a continuous improvement mindset, identifying and taking action on opportunities. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in a relevant field. 2‑3 years of procurement/contract management or vendor relationship experience. Working knowledge of contract structure and development, with familiarity of relevant clauses. Knowledge of RFx procedures. Proficient math and intermediate Excel skills. Working knowledge of MS Office suite. Strong customer service and relationship management skills. High level of integrity and accountability. Ability to identify mistakes, take ownership, and participate in correction plans. Capacity to work within tight timelines with a high level of attention to detail. Strong organizational and time‑management skills. Collaborative approach, working alongside stakeholders and business owners. An entrepreneurial attitude and a commitment to high quality work.
