Universal Fraud Agent - Remote (12 Month Contract) We’re building a relationship‑oriented bank for the modern world. As a member of the Fraud Contact Centre team, a Fraud Agent will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of service to both external and internal customers consistent with CIBC’s vision of winning customer loyalty through service excellence. Key responsibilities include: Investigate suspected fraudulent activities on credit‑card and debit‑card transactions. Analyze customer profiles, transactions, and banking history to minimize exposure to loss and protect client privacy. Collaborate with internal departments (Identity Theft Response, Fraud Strategy, Corporate Security, Loss Management, Client Care, Ombudsman Office, VISA, and others) to refer and resolve different types of fraud. Resolve complex or difficult fraud applications, account takeovers, convenience cheques, and payments referred by other areas of CIBC or external sources. How you will succeed: Identify and mitigate fraud efficiently while meeting productivity goals. Make sound decisions quickly in situations with limited information or ambiguity. Act like an owner, thrive when empowered, and deliver results beyond expectations. Qualifications: Experience in fraud investigation, risk management, or related fields. Proficiency with banking systems such as COINS/ECIF, PRM, TSYS, or CRS. Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, and decision‑making skills. Excellent communication and customer‑service skills in both English and French (preferred). Ability to work independently in a secure, noise‑controlled remote workspace.
