**About the Organization**

**The Canadian Research Initiative in Substance Matters -**Atlantic node**is one of five nodes within the **CRISM**network, a Canada-wide intervention research network in the field of substance use. The goal is to accelerate the transfer of scientific knowledge towards the development of new medications, psychological interventions, treatments, and services for people who use substances and those with substance use disorders.

**Job Summary**
- Reporting to the Node Principal Investigator and Node Manager, the Knowledge Transfer Agent (KTA) will work as part of the CRISM Atlantic Node Core Operating Team (COT). The KTA will be responsible for assisting the Node Manager (NM) and other COT members in managing the CRISM Atlantic website, online media presence (news articles, publications, etc.), and social media (LinkedIn, X, etc.). In addition, the KTA will support the Atlantic Node’s commitment to gather, develop and disseminate knowledge, results, and other relevant research findings and information. The KTA will also be responsible for developing and coordinating knowledge transfer (KT) plans and events with CRISM members as well as creating strategies for external communications and knowledge sharing with CRISM partners as it relates to improving the education, accessibility and quality of substance use services and/or interventions for people who use substances.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Managing the CRISM Atlantic communications including implementing and supporting the Node’s communications, Knowledge Translation and Exchange strategy.
- Maintaining and supporting the Node’s website, online media presence (news articles, publications, etc.).
- Supporting social media activities (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.) and the publication of quarterly Newsletter.
- Conducting analyses and preparing reports with respect to the dissemination of Knowledge Transfer & Exchange (KTE) activities and Node’s communication tools (e.g., website; social media; newsletter).
- Development of processes and materials including templates to be used in communication tools and protocols for implementation evaluation.

**Note**
- The successful applicant will be eligible for hybrid work (combination of in-person work on campus and remote work) as agreed by all parties based on operational requirements and university guidelines.

Some travel as well as occasional work during evenings and/or weekends may be required (e.g., conference or regional meetings) so flexibility with respect to working hours may be necessary. Additional time worked can be taken ‘in lieu’ at a time mutually agreed upon.

**Required Qualifications**
- Diploma or certificate program in a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of related communications experience, including online formats for information communications, developing communications and knowledge user relations plans and strategies.
- Proficiency in WordPress, Mailchimp, MS Office suite, and other graphics editing software.
- Experience maintaining knowledge records and media (publications, articles, etc.) as well as managing website and social media.
- Experience developing communications and knowledge user relations plans in research or academic environments.
- Knowledge of substance use intervention research and practice.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills; with ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise way.
- Ability to work independently as well as an effective team member with individuals and groups involved in CRISM projects.

**Assets**
- Experience and understanding of the research pipeline (academic and other funding structures).
- Knowledge and experience working with multidisciplinary translational research teams.
- Experience in patient-oriented research and working with people with living and lived experience.
- Bilingual (spoken and written English and French).
