Lead Solution Engineer

As a Lead Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing and deployment of new solutions that deliver business value as well as supporting existing software solutions in a complex systems landscape. Qualified candidates must possess experience conducting requirements elicitation, writing user stories, creating solution designs, and building and testing system solutions that meet the business need. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills in a complex environment, strong communication, collaboration, flexibility, innovative thinking, and self‑motivation are required for success. Responsibilities Requirements Analysis : Collaborate with finance and operations teams to gather, validate, and document business requirements related to Order‑to‑Cash and Invoice‑to‑Cash processes. Lead requirements elicitation discussions with cross‑functional business stakeholders to understand current pain points and desired outcomes of requested solutions. Drive decisions when there may be conflicting requirements. Document and elaborate user stories or business requirements documents. Solution Design : Translate business needs into D365 functional solutions, focusing on AR, billing, collections, and integration with financial subsystems. Design new/enhanced systems solutions that are technically sound, deliver business value and meet desired outcomes. Lead and facilitate cross‑functional design, configuration specifications, and process and data‑modeling. Microsoft D365 F&O Functional SME : Configure, build, test, and implement clean, efficient, and maintainable D365 F&O solutions based on UKG requirements leveraging out‑of‑box functionality wherever possible, favoring configuration over code. Define and support D365 Finance configurations for invoicing and settlements aligned with business rules. Coordinate integration work, partnering with technical teams to ensure seamless integration between D365, CRM, and other ERP or payment systems. Testing : Build testable software solutions, define and execute test cases. Provide functional solution demonstrations and lead user testing sessions when applicable that result in user acceptance. May include integrated testing across multiple technology platforms. Troubleshooting : Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring high‑quality service operations. Engage with vendor for product issues as needed. Scrum Master Support : Help manage the execution and delivery of features and projects, close decisions, unblock challenges, and ensure successful and timely completion, with quality. Ensure delivery of desired business outcomes. Stakeholder Management : Provide clear communication to team members and business stakeholders related to requirements, issues, and solution delivery. Build collaborative relationships both within ESE and Business teams. Be confident presenting complex information to senior leaders. Agile Practices : Demonstrate competency in Agile/Scrum best practices and delivery through MS Azure DevOps. Take ownership of the work from requirements to design, development, testing, deployment and maintenance of solutions in production. Documentation : Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for software applications and systems and contribute to training materials. Identify opportunities for improvements in documentation to drive success in onboarding/ developing junior team members. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 4+ years of business systems analysis or professional software development experience 4+ years of global ERP experience, including understanding of several of the following financial processes: order‑to‑cash, general ledger accounting, treasury and revenue recognition 3+ years working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations ERP Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O certification required Solid understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O capabilities, tools, and best practices to be effective at production support and maintenance Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills, eagerness to learn and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment. Experience in agile development practices and DevOps principles. Proven track record of delivering complex software projects on time and within budget. Understanding of cloud technologies and DevOps principles. End to End experience with vendor products, system integration, and data migration projects. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with any of the following systems: Oracle EBS, Salesforce, SK Global Treasury Automation Suite, Thomson Reuters OneSource, Exflow AP Automation, Zoura RevPro. Experience with foundational data, such as Accounts and Contacts Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O MB310 Certification Familiarity with ServiceNow or a similar ITSM tool Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test automation tools.
