Site Manager – PHS Canada Join our dynamic startup that designs and implements HVAC control and automation systems in the industrial field. As a Site Manager at PHS, you will play a key role in overseeing daily construction site operations, ensuring projects meet plans, safety standards, and timelines. Key Responsibilities Supervision and management of teams Supervise and direct workers, giving clear task instructions. Assign tasks based on workers’ skills and the work plan. Attend project coordination meetings organized by the general contractor or project manager. Monitoring the progress of work Verify compliance with plans, specifications, and schedule. Evaluate progress and implement corrective actions for delays or problems. Produce monitoring reports and inform the project manager regularly. Manage completion deadlines in collaboration with the project manager. Ensure safety on the worksite Apply safety standards and ensure equipment (helmets, gloves, etc.) is used correctly. Train new workers on safety practices and conduct regular tool‑box meetings. Materials and equipment management Control stock levels and ensure sufficient supplies for project progress. Ensure necessary equipment is available, in good condition, and well maintained. Communication with stakeholders Report to management on needs, delays, and problems. Coordinate subcontractor interventions and integrate them into general planning. Quality control Ensure work meets quality standards and customer requirements. Inspect finishes to confirm compliance with defined expectations and standards. Problem solving React quickly to unexpected events or technical obstacles and propose solutions. Manage tensions or conflicts among workers to maintain a harmonious work environment. Required Qualifications Diploma in building mechanics, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in building automation. Minimum of 5 to 10 years of site‑management experience, ideally on building automation projects. In‑depth knowledge of building management system installation, commissioning techniques, materials, safety standards, and regulations. Ability to manage multiple teams and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. Strong communication skills with clients, engineers, and subcontractors in both official languages. Proficiency in project‑management tools such as MS Project or Procore. Working Conditions Location: Construction site. Hours: Flexible depending on project progress.
