The Cybersecurity Analyst will lead and support the risk mitigation effort in collaboration with our Information Security Team. Our Information Security Team’s responsibility is to safeguard and protect Yamaha information assets and critical data from current and emerging Cyber threats. In order to achieve our cybersecurity goals and objectives, the ideal security analyst must apply their skills and experience in day-to-day operational activities including, but not limited to: Investigating and reporting on identified security incidents and threats Monitoring, maintenance and tuning of various cyber security tools and technologies (Information Protection, Device/System Health, Identity Management, Monitoring and Response and Risk Management) Analyzing security logs and systems data to identify anomalous or irregular events Provide regular guidance and training for the organization as it relates to current themes and threats Key Duties & Responsibilities Participate in or lead Cyber incident detection, investigation, and response. Ensure computing platform compliance with Cybersecurity policies and directives. Use provided tools to perform continuous monitoring and analysis of system activity to identify malicious activity and configure mitigations. Coordinate with other groups to manage and administer the updating of rules and signatures across the information security stack (e.g., IDS/IPS, anti-virus, and content blacklists). Identify and recommend actions to address vulnerabilities in the computing environment or inconsistencies in existing security processes. Provide timely detection, identification, and alerts of possible attacks/intrusions, anomalous activities, and misuse activities, and distinguish these incidents and events from benign activities. Participate in or lead Cybersecurity awareness and training exercises. Advise / develop Cybersecurity policies, industry standards, best practices, and strategies. Cyber security review of all new partners/services and vendors. Education Requirements and/or Experience Requirements Degree/Diploma: Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, College Diploma Technology would be considered Program of Study: Information Technology Years of Experience: Information Technology Support (3 years +), Cybersecurity (2 years +), Security Operations Centre (1 year), Security Info Event Mgt (3 years +) Type of Experience: Functional / Technical Requirements and Support Skills & Abilities Experience with NG firewalls, enterprise IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus software Skilled in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) Proficient in creating Cybersecurity Awareness Training programs Knowledgeable in Phishing protection and simulation tools Strong grasp of IT security principles, practices, technologies, programs, and procedures Familiar with security standards/frameworks like ISO27001, NIST, SOC 2 Capable of prioritizing and meeting multiple project deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication Effective interpersonal skills for technical and non-technical communication Yamaha Motor Canada Ltd. welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
