Hours: 8 am - 5pm (Mon - Fri)

Pay Rate: $18 - $20/hr.

The Shipping Clerk is to perform various tasks relating to customer paperwork including receiving and shipping customer, ensure that the day-to-day functions as designated by his or her direct supervisor are both adhered to and done efficiently and safely. They would work in the warehouse at the computer mostly printing documents, scanning documents, sending emails and coordinating with the warehouse team.

Responsible for:

  • Provide administrative support for the shipping department
  • Inspect incoming product for possible problem areas on material
  • Ensure product is received correctly
  • Ensure PO# matches order; if there is no PO# contact the client to request PO
  • Issue work orders, ensuring correct information based on Customer Purchase Orders (measurements, colour, counts, price, etc)
  • Issue packing slips for completed product and have signed by customer
  • Communicate with customers for scheduling deliveries, pick up of product and follow up if there are issues
  • Inspect outgoing product to ensure material is secured safely for transporting
  • Generate invoices for customers and process customer payments
  • Create purchase orders and order powder, packaging and plant supplies when necessary
  • General office duties and other duties as assigned
