Job Title Job Title: Lead Citrix Engineer. Location Location: Remote Responsibilities Lead and support the Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops/DaaS platform to provide delivery of virtual business applications, virtual desktop workspace, and published resources to support a secure business environment accessible to customers anywhere. Deliver non-Citrix workloads through the NetScaler application delivery controller. Stay current with emerging technology and identify areas of improvement to enhance the platform relative to business needs. Ensure the platform is robust, distributed to protect the business, and secure using industry-standard security practices. Write technical documentation and draw plans and diagrams describing complex compute environments. Collaborate on business projects, recommend solutions, lead internal projects, and delegate tasks as needed. Implement and maintain Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and Citrix ADC (including Citrix Gateway) in an Enterprise setting, including High Availability, Global Site Load Balancing, and Disaster Recovery solutions. Monitor Citrix platform components for optimal performance and forecast capacity requirements to meet performance and growth needs. Create and maintain performance baselines to ensure compliance with business performance metrics. Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for performance, connectivity, and security issues affecting Citrix infrastructure or published applications. Configure and update applications delivered using Citrix platform to meet compatibility, security, and performance requirements. Demonstrate strong understanding of Profile Management and experience with FSLogix, Ivanti UWM, or AppSense Environment Manager. Understand printer delivery and driver management capabilities. Identify areas for process improvement and automation; proficient with PowerShell scripting and REST APIs. Configure Citrix ADC, including authentication protocols such as LDAP and SAML, routing, and firewall segmentation. Configure and manage load-balanced virtual servers and understand TCP, HTTP, and SSL protocols. Maintain SSL certificates using tools such as OpenSSL when needed. Experience delivering Citrix solutions in Citrix or Azure cloud, or delivering desktops using Azure Virtual Desktop is a plus but not required. Lead the Citrix team, design, upkeep, and monitor the platform to ensure robust user experience and availability; provide top-tier support and mentor peers across teams. Qualifications Minimum 8-10 years of Enterprise experience; 10 years preferred, architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Netscaler Gateway, and Netscaler Load Balancing. Ability to work across multiple IT and application teams. Mentor, coach, share knowledge, and delegate with other team members. Strong datacenter infrastructure disciplines, including Virtualization, Active Directory, DNS, TCP/IP Networking, PKI/SSL, and Windows Server operating systems with debugging. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to articulate complex problems to non-technical personnel or leadership. Documentation and runbook creation for Citrix environments and related Service Desk documentation as needed. Follows change management and service level agreements for incidents and service requests. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis capabilities for performance, connectivity, and security issues. Experience with Profile Management and related technologies; familiarity with PowerShell scripting and REST APIs. Knowledge of Citrix ADC configurations, authentication protocols (LDAP, SAML), networking, and security best practices. Compensation and Benefits The pay range for this role is CAD 130,000 – 140,000 per year, including bonuses or variable pay.
