Hybrid System Administrator – Federal Government Client Maplesoft Group is currently seeking a Hybrid System Admin for our Federal Government client. This is a hybrid role in Ottawa, ON. Security Clearance : Top Secret (NATO) – Level II and Controlled Goods Certificate. Duration : 1 year with possibility of extension. Education Degree/diploma in Science, Engineering, or IT from a Canadian institution OR equivalent foreign credential with Canadian equivalency OR any degree/diploma + 60 months IT experience. Experience 48 months in last 6 years in system administration within a System of Systems environment. Scope of Work Administer and maintain client distributed infrastructure. Tasks include Server & virtualization management. Microsoft services (AD, Exchange). Linux & Windows servers. Security hardening, compliance (ITSG-33). Automation scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python). Incident response & forensic analysis. Documentation, SOPs, architecture diagrams. Training & mentorship. Deliverables Technical documentation (architecture, SOPs). Security documentation (hardening checklists, access controls). Monitoring dashboards, automation scripts. Compliance & performance reports. Incident response reports. Monthly status reports.
