About The Role The Senior Vice President, Value Chain provides direct leadership to all value-chain divisions that support the general contracting business and other third-party clients. This role has a clear mandate: ensure each division performs at a high level, has the right people, operates ethically, and makes financially sound decisions that support the growth of our value chain businesses and in‑turn drive success for internal and external clients. We are looking for someone to think like an entrepreneur as many of our value chain businesses are in growth stages—always looking for opportunities to improve, adapt, and strengthen how our internal trades add value to construction projects. You will lead with humility and guide our experienced leaders in our equipment rental, material supply, labour division and other value chain businesses. This is a highly people‑centric role—one that requires genuine curiosity about the work and the teams, and a commitment to building strong relationships through regular visits on‑site and working side‑by‑side in the field with your leadership team. Key Responsibilities Business Strategy Build each division with the fundamentals of a value chain business: business opportunity, clear structure, the right people, dependable systems, financial acumen and consistent planning; Spend time in each business regularly to understand real issues, spot opportunities, and help leaders plan for growth, improvement, or course corrections; Guide divisions toward steady, sustainable development, better forecasting and systems, and better operational discipline year over year. Leadership Develop and mentor divisional leaders, set clear expectations, and support them in running their operations successfully and safely; Build teams that can grow with the business—making sure people are trained, supported, and held accountable when needed; Maintain strong relationships with the GC operations team so the value‑chain divisions stay aligned with project needs and can plan accordingly. Financials Oversee the full financial picture of each value‑chain business, including budgets, forecasts, labour costs, equipment costs, and overhead; Work with divisional leaders to understand what drives their numbers and help them plan for the year ahead, not just the month; Ensure each business stays financially stable and makes decisions that support long‑term health, not short‑term gains. About You You are a mentor, entrepreneur and humble business leader who thrives on developing the people around them to create shared success. You have transitioned from working in a business to working on the business and understand the value of growth aligning to organizational mindset, values and culture. You understand the value of a leader who has built a business from scratch and can support them in the next phase of their growth. Skills And Experience Fifteen (15+) plus years of experience in the construction industry including leading business units; Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or equivalent level of experience; P&L management and financial analysis (budgets, forecasting, cost tracking); Construction operations knowledge (labour, formwork, concrete, equipment, logistics, supply chain); Ability to assess productivity, manpower planning, and operational bottlenecks; Direct communicator who can hold people accountable to deliver excellent results; Works well with field and office leaders; earns trust by showing up and listening. What's In It For You? We’re committed to the success and development of our people and recognize that they are the drivers behind our success. We provide our teams with the tools and support they need to strive, thrive, and advance their long‑term career here. The level and salary will vary depending on experience and background of the successful candidate. During the interview process, let’s talk to get the right fit for your experience level.
