Our client, POWRMATIC, a leading distributor to the heating, ventilation, air conditioning, electrical and fireplace industries, is looking for candidates for the position of Manager to lead their Ottawa branch.

Reporting to the Vice President General Manager, as Branch Manager, the main responsibilities will be:


  • Supervise, mobilize and evaluate internal branch staff;
  • Manage time and attendance, vacations, sick days, etc. with the workday system;
  • Resolve problem situations with customers and employees;
  • Ensure orders are delivered on time and maintained in the computer system;
  • Provide customer service in keeping with the company's image and reputation;
  • Approve certain invoices;
  • Ensure building maintenance (supervise employees' work, mandate and coordinate maintenance contracts with suppliers and contractors);
  • Ensure that all personnel comply with safety standards and local regulations;
  • With the collaboration of the Sales Managers, who supervise the sales representatives, ensure the maintenance of G.P. and sales in each division;
  • Manage inventories and space, collaborate with branches;
  • Ensure compliance and enforcement of company policies;
  • Control expenses within established budgets.
  • Coordinate training activities for branch employees;
  • Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety policies and standards.


Qualifications required


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or business management training
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in a similar position
  • Experience in the HVAC, electrical or hearth industry
  • Bilingual French/English
  • Good knowledge of MS office, Word, Excel
  • Positive, rallying and mobilizing leadership
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Good organizational skills
  • Creative, open-minded problem-solving skills

Relevant du Vice-Président Directeur Général, en tant que Directeur ou Directrice de succursale, voici vos responsabilités:


  • Superviser, mobiliser et évaluer le personnel interne de la succursale;
  • Assurer la gestion du temps et présence, les vacances, jours de maladie etc. avec le système Workday;
  • Résoudre les situations problématiques avec les clients et les employés;
  • S’assurer que les commandes soient livrées à temps et de la maintenance des commandes dans le système informatique;
  • S’assurer de fournir le service à la clientèle à l’image et réputation de l'entreprise;
  • Approuver certaines factures;
  • S’assurer de la maintenance de la bâtisse (superviser le travail des employés, mandater et coordonner les contrats d’entretien donnés aux fournisseurs et contracteurs);
  • S’assurer que tout le personnel respecte les normes de sécurité et les règlements locaux;
  • Avec la collaboration des directeurs des ventes, qui supervisent les représentants, assurer de maintenir les G.P. et les ventes dans chaque division;
  • Gérer les inventaires et l’espace, collaborer avec les succursales;
  • S’assurer de respecter et de faire respecter les politiques de compagnie;
  • Contrôler les dépenses en suivant les budgets établis.
  • Coordonner les activités de formation pour les employés de la succursale;
  • Veiller à l’application des politiques et des normes en matière de santé et sécurité au travail


Profil recherché;


  • Bac en administration des affaires ou une formation en gestion de commerce
  • 5 à 10 ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire
  • Expérience dans l'industrie des systèmes CVAC, de l'électricité ou des foyers
  • Bilinguisme français/anglais
  • Bonne connaissance de MS office, Word, Excel
  • Leadership positif rassembleur et mobilisateur
  • Posséder une forte capacité relationnelle
  • Bon sens de l'organisation
  • Aisance à résoudre des problèmes en faisant preuve de créativité et d'ouverture
