Recently revitalised through rebranding and refurbishments, The Mona Hotel is returning to its roots with a renewed focus on community connection, quality hospitality and elevated pub experiences. Operating multiple offerings under one roof, the venue delivers pub classics, woodfired pizzas, inhouse baking and an evolving food and beverage program. Under new ownership and partnership management with Laundy Hotel Group, The Mona Hotel is entering an exciting new chapter. We are seeking hands on, customer focused Duty Managers who succeed in fast paced environments and take pride in leading teams and delivering exceptional service on shift. About the Role Reporting to the Venue Management team, the Duty Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the venue during allocated shifts, ensuring smooth service delivery, team coordination and compliance at all times. This is a key operational leadership role, ideal for someone looking to grow their hospitality management career within a large, respected group. The Opportunity Overseeing venue operations during allocated shifts, including opening and closing Leading, supporting and supervising front of house teams during service Ensuring exceptional customer service and resolving guest issues in real time Managing staff allocations, breaks and shift performance Completing shift reports, cash handling and end of shift procedures Ensuring RSA, RCG, gaming and security compliance at all times Maintaining venue presentation, safety and atmosphere across trade periods Implementing and upholding WHS standards and company policies Liaising with security and responding to incidents as required About You Previous experience as a Duty Manager or senior supervisor in a hotel or hospitality venue Strong operational knowledge of bar, bistro and gaming environments Confident leadership skills with the ability to direct and support teams on shift A calm, professional approach in busy and high pressure situations Excellent communication and customer service skills A hands on solutions focused mindset Immaculate personal presentation and attention to detail Availability to work weekends as part of a 7 day rotating roster, including nights and public holidays Current RSA, RCG and ARCG accreditation (essential) The Laundy Story Four generations, countless beers poured and a legacy built on good old fashioned hospitality, that’s the Laundy way.
