Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of data engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines, ETL processes, and data storage solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and product managers, to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and security across all data processes and systems.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of data architectures, ensuring scalability and performance.
  • Drive the adoption of best practices in data engineering, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineering Manager or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong proficiency in data engineering technologies, including SQL, Python, and data processing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark, Kafka).
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • In-depth knowledge of database systems (e.g., relational databases, NoSQL) and data warehousing solutions.
