Procurement Manager – Expert

Our client a leading financial institution inDowntown Toronto,is looking for a Procurement Manager – Expert to follow market trends. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with one of the Top 5 Banks in Canada. Typical Day in role: Forecasting, planning, and correctly assessing needs for goods and services to project stock levels, managing budgets and preparing reports Liaising with suppliers and following up with suppliers concerning delivery times Networking and negotiating with suppliers to ensure price adjustments and access to best costs. Research new suppliers Management of the Request for Proposal (RFP) process including review of tenders Must-Have Skills: 10-15 years of procurement sourcing experience, not purchasing experience (No flexibility for less) Previous technology sourcing (5 years minimum experience) Leads negotiations for complex deals with a total contract value $5Million or more Contract authoring and editing Experience in leading and supporting cross-functional stakeholder interactions/relationships Purchasing field or Procurement Designation Nice-To-Have Skills: Proven experience sourcing and negotiating deals with AI providers Understanding of procurement law and/or regulations Business and Financial Acumen Strong contract acumen Strong analytical skills Achieving financial targets (individual targets of $5MM savings, and team targets of $25MM) Soft Skills Required: Impact and Influence Service Oriented Focus (Building Partnerships) Business and Financial Insight Communication (verbal and written) Education: Post-secondary education in Finance, Related Finance professional is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all team members and clients feel like they belong.
