Business Analyst – SAP Payroll

Position Title: Business Analyst – SAP Payroll Contract Term: 12 months Work Model Hybrid – 44 King Street W (18th Floor) Expected 2 days onsite per week initially , with flexibility to increase to full-time onsite in the future based on business requirements. Role Overview This position supports the bank’s transition from the current SAP ECC On-Premise Payroll system to SAP Employee Central Payroll (ECP) . The selected contractor will provide functional payroll technology expertise through both production support and project delivery activities. Key Responsibilities Provide end-to-end SAP Payroll production support, including troubleshooting and root-cause analysis Translate business requirements into technical designs, workflows, and functional specifications Lead or support workstreams for payroll projects and enhancements Participate in implementation activities such as data conversion, testing, cutover planning, and post-go-live support Collaborate with HR, Finance, QA, and external vendors to ensure alignment across stakeholders Provide clear documentation and timely status updates to leadership Required Qualifications 10+ years SAP Payroll experience (ECC On-Premise and/or ECP) 10+ years in a BA and/or project delivery capacity Experience with SAP Support Pack testing and year-end payroll cycles Hands-on troubleshooting of payroll calculations, integrations, and banking/DME files Solid understanding of Canadian payroll tax and CRA compliance Strong MS Excel skills Experience with Employee Central → SAP Payroll replication Nice to Have SAP HCM or ECP certification Experience with HRIS systems and payroll-Finance processes Strong financial acumen
