We have an exciting opening for a Senior FPGA Designer for our Ottawa or Kitchener Design Centres, or remote. What You'll Need for the Position 8+ years of experience designing using RTL/Verilog/VHDL on FPGAs Experience with video systems, high-speed memory and bus interfaces, communications protocols, DSP or processor instantiations Experience with Xilinx or Altera FPGA families and solid tool-flow understanding Experience with Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL, Xilinx Vivado, Altera Quartus, and ModelSim RTL design and verification including test benches, functional simulations, and timing closure Strong communication skills, fluent English, customer interaction presence, and quick learning of new technologies and processes Proven techniques and habits that lead to high-quality design Degree as a B.A.Sc., B.Eng. or equivalent As a Xilinx premier design partner, certification to Xilinx's highest level of FPGA qualification will be a first item upon joining What You'll Be Doing Work with clients and Fidus engineers to develop complex FPGA/CPLD-based systems, including architecture, custom development, integrated IP, simulations, and timing analysis and closure Design FPGA-based systems using Xilinx and Intel-based devices and tools Participate in design reviews to ensure Fidus quality standards and customer requirements are met Perform lab testing, debug prototypes, and support hardware/software engineers as needed Perform customer prototype demonstrations and author test plans, design descriptions, and user documentation Provide technical insight to customers during pre-sales and implementation phases Provide technical support to the Business Manager and Sales team with detailed estimates on scope, schedule, and deliverables, and present technical aspects of Fidus proposals Fidus is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. #J-18808-Ljbffr
