Overview: We are seeking a seasoned Public Relations Manager to join our team. This pivotal role is responsible for shaping and safeguarding the company's reputation in the public market. You will be the guardian of our external communications, ensuring all disclosures are accurate, timely, consistent, and fully compliant with regulatory obligations for a listed company. Your primary mission is to enhance shareholder value by building trust with investors, the media, and all key stakeholders through superior communication strategies. Job responsibilities: 1. Listed Company Disclosures & Regulatory Communications: • Lead the planning, execution, and management of the company's external communication calendar, with a strict focus on compliance with securities regulations (especially in Canada and European). • Serve as the primary editor and coordinator for all material news releases, including financial earnings, significant business developments, and corporate governance announcements. • Establish and maintain a robust internal control process for all public disclosures to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence. 2. Media Relations & Reputation Management: • Develop and implement a comprehensive media relations strategy targeting financial, trade, and mainstream media. • Proactively pitch positive stories that align with corporate strategy and investment thesis; expertly manage potential crises and negative press. • Act as a company spokesperson and prepare senior executives for media interactions and public appearances. 3. Investor & Stakeholder Engagement: • Assist in providing investor relations services by liaising with existing shareholders, institutional investors, investment advisors, and analysts. • Clearly articulate the company's strategy, performance, and value proposition to the investment community. 4. Strategic Corporate Communications: • Participate in the development of global corporate marketing and communication strategies, with a focus on Canada and Europe. • Ensure all sales, marketing, and operational messaging is aligned with the overall corporate brand and public company image. • Support corporate financing initiatives from a communications perspective, ensuring clear and effective messaging around capital raising activities. Job requirements: 1. Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field. 2. Minimum of 5 years of direct experience in a public relations or corporate communications role within a publicly-traded company environment. 3. Demonstrable experience in managing the end-to-end process of material news disclosure for a listed entity (e.g., earnings releases, MD&A coordination) is mandatory. 4. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English (and (other languages if required)), with a portfolio of high-quality press releases, speeches, and presentations. 5. Established relationships with financial and business media. 6. Strong project management skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (Legal, Finance, Senior Leadership). 7.
