Overview Reports to the VP of Operations May require travel to our Stoney Creek facility at times The Lean / Capital Project Engineer is responsible for implementing and managing lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement strategies within the organization, as well as leading mid to large capital projects for the organization. This role focuses on optimizing processes, reducing waste, and enhancing productivity to drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead and facilitate Lean initiatives and continuous improvement projects across various departments. Conduct thorough assessments of current processes to identify areas for improvement and waste reduction. Utilize lean tools and methodologies such as Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and Six Sigma to develop and implement process improvements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish standard work procedures and ensure best practices are followed. Train and mentor employees in Lean principles and practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Monitor and analyze KPI data to track the effectiveness of implemented improvements and make data-driven decisions. Develop and present reports on continuous improvement efforts to management, highlighting achievements and areas for further enhancement. Participate in problem-solving and root cause analysis activities to address operational challenges. Lead and project manage the sourcing and implementation of mid to large capital projects Manage and coordinate all facilities management activities, including maintenance, repairs, and renovations. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal performance of equipment and infrastructure. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations. Interact with equipment or service suppliers to ensure that projects are delivered on time and on budget and that they are executed with excellence #J-18808-Ljbffr
